Hello to all:

To the GenSmarts team; Thanks for a wonderful piece of software. I have been using GenSmarts since the release of FTM 16 (Family Tree Maker 16).

In GenSmarts there is a F2 option allowing direct access to FTM from GenSmarts, that option has is not operational due to the FTM itself, not GenSmarts.

Any news if this functionality will be revived or return in FTM 2010-2011 from the makers of FTM, as am planing on moving on to FTM 2011?

Hello:

I use as a companion research software tool, Underwood Innovations's GenSmarts Ver 2.

In GenSmarts there is a F2 "Goto interface" option allowing direct access to FTM from GenSmarts to any selected individual in my FTM file linked to GenSmarts.

However this functionality has not been restored since the release of FTM 16. Per GenSmarts this option is not operational due to the FTM itself.

Launching the Goto Function in GenSmarts, generates the following GenSmarts error.

"Sorry, but at the time when this version of GenSmarts was released, Family Tree Maker did not provide a Vista Compatible interface to implement this "goto" function. You will need to contact The Generations Network to find out what, if any, plans they have for providing such and interface. An example of a simple interface can be found at http://www.Gensmarts.com/gotoInterface.html"

My Question;

Any news if this functionality will be revived or return in FTM 2010-2011, as am planing on upgrading to FTM 2011?

Additional System info:

Windows 7 Professional 64 bit Ver 6.1.7600 Build 7600

-all windows patches and updates are current as of this date 4/28/2011

FTM 2010 Ver 19.0.0.207

GenSmarts Ver 2.1.1.85
