I have had to reinstall Gensmarts on my Dell computer using Vista. The I click on the "available on line" button, the blank form appears, but it isn't any longer automatically filled in and then connected to the appropriate site.

How can I get it to complete the process?

Using the new Internet Explorer 8 with a version of GenSmarts prior to 2.1.1.71 will have this effect... see http://www.GenSmarts.com/versionHistory.html to update to this version or later.

There are other system oddities that can cause this, but the last several cases I've seen were all IE8 related (as per above), so that's what I'd check first.

Hi Aaron,

Thank you for getting back to me so quickly. I am oldish and sometimes don't get the big picture when it comes to computers!

I am using the Windows Vista system which came loaded on my new computer, not the new IE version 8. I didn't think it had come out yet.

I don't want to use windows 8 until it has been out for a while to eliminate any bugs that might be in the original version.
