Hello all,
I am trying out GenSMarts and have some confusion about the ToDo items that are generated.
I am seeing suggested ToDos for birth, baptism, marriage, death, and cemetery for many individuals. However, all these data elements are already entered in my genealogy program, Legacy Family Tree. I don't use non-standard entry methods or anything odd.
Is GenSmarts supposed to filter these out, or does it just list all these ToDos for every person? It's tedious marking so many ToDo as Found. I was hoping to get suggestions only for things that haven't already been done.
I'd really appreciate any ideas for how to understand what's going on and how the program works.

By default, GenSmarts includes these items for your reference, but you can filter them out if you like using the "FILLS MISSING DATA" filter.
Also, try the "CONFUSED?" button in the upper right hand corner of the screen... you'll find a more detailed answer to this very question. Or see the 2nd topic at http://www.gensmarts.com/training.asp

Ahh, thank you so much.
The training video is really helpful. I completely missed that on my prior visit to the website! And it answered my question perfectly.
I don't have the 'Confused?' button in my trial version (1060), but saw it in the video. I'll try downloading the current version to see if it shows up.
