The "My Genealogy File" tab presently (v1.0.1.0) has a 'Direct Ancestor Tag" and a "Clear (Direct) Tag" command button. GenSmarts then marks all names in that line.

I would suggest that the "Clear Tag" have the ability to untag ANY selected tag in the line not just the Direct Tag. This will allow the user to clear any error(s) that may have occured during import.

A "Clear All Tags" Would allow users with large databases to easily switch between lines by simply Clear All Tags and then Tag a direct ancestor in the NEW line.

In the version under development, we've added a "Find Next Root" button which makes it much easier to locate (and clear if you'd like) any people that have been tagged.
