GenSmarts Subscription Settings

GenSmarts marks suggestions for sites you have access to with a GREEN MOUSE, and suggestions that you don't have access to with a RED MOUSE. You let GenSmarts know what you subscribe to using the menu option ##TOOLS...SETTINGS...Subscriptions tab##. Check that and verify that the subscriptions you have are checked (and, if not, turn them on).

If you've indicated to GenSmarts that you subscribe to ___________ (ancestry.com, fold3.com, etc. - fill in the blank) , but still get this page... Verify that the suggestion you're trying to search is linked to the site you subscirbe to - look at the bottom of the EXPLANATION... you'll probably have to use the scroll bar to get to the bottom. This is where GenSmarts may try and take you for the suggestion in question, so if you don't subscribe to any of those sites, you'll arrive at this page. Another way of verifying this is to press the little down arrow to the right of the AVAILABLE ONLINE button, which lists all of the links GenSmarts knows for a suggestion.
