I noticed that Family Tree Maker 2010 prefers to use place names for areas like "St. Bernard" by not using the period in the abbreviation for Saint, so the above would be stored as "St Bernard". I'd like to request that the "St." names in the geo-database include the version without a period as an alternate name for those locations in GenSmarts as I think that would help to greatly reduce Geography contentions for those of us with lots of "St." place names in our files.
